No Bake Apple Pear Crisp

This no bake apple pear crisp is the perfect healthy dessert (or even breakfast!) for all fall dinner parties. Best served warm with ice cream and friends.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sliced apples
  • 2 cups sliced pears
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/3 c maple syrup
  • 1/4 c almond milk
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Toppings:

  • 3 medjool dates,pitted and chopped
  • 1/3 c walnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 c pecans, chopped
Directions
  1. Get all your ingredients prepared and measured out
  2. In a large sauté pan over high heat sauté the apples and pears in coconut oil for two minutes
  3. Add in your maple syrup, almond milk, chia seeds, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Once the ingredients are all added it cooks quickly so it is best to have all your ingredients pre measured
  4. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for eight minutes until the liquid has reduced and mixture has thickened.
  5. Serve warm sprinkled with date and nut topping. Ice cream is always a good option too!
